FAQ
Questions before the specimen board.
Straight answers about what a brand system engagement involves, what it costs, and what BrandBoost Co is not — starting with the question we get asked most often.
Is BrandBoost Co a life-coaching / wellness brand, a fake-engagement boost shop, an income course, or does it guarantee follower growth?+
No. BrandBoost Co is a B2B brand systems atelier. We build positioning studies, verbal identity guides, visual mark systems and brand governance for companies — nothing here is life coaching, a wellness practice, an income or "make money online" course, or a service that inflates followers, likes or engagement numbers.
We use the word "boost" in exactly one sense: a brand system that boosts clarity — how quickly and consistently a stranger understands what a company does and why it's different. It has nothing to do with vanity metrics, and we do not offer, promise or imply guaranteed audience growth of any kind.
How are brand-system projects usually priced?+
Individual services range from roughly CAD 1,800 for a research sprint to CAD 12,000 for a full visual mark system, in Canadian dollars. Most companies building a complete brand system — positioning, voice and mark together — land between CAD 11,000 and CAD 22,000, depending on scope and existing material. Governance retainers start at CAD 900 per month. Full ranges are on the services page.
How long does a full brand system take?+
Six to ten weeks for the four stages — Position, Voice, Mark, Govern — from kickoff to a documented specimen board. A standalone positioning study or verbal identity guide can move faster, typically three to five weeks, depending on how quickly leadership can review drafts.
Where exactly does AI fit into your process?+
Into research, specifically. An AI-enhanced research sprint compresses competitor scans and category-language analysis that would otherwise take a small team weeks to compile manually. Every finding is then reviewed, checked and interpreted by a human strategist — no positioning claim, brand voice rule or visual mark decision is generated or approved by an AI tool on its own.
We already have a logo. Do we need to start over?+
Usually not entirely. Many engagements start with an audit of the existing mark, voice and touchpoints to see what's actually working before deciding what to rebuild. A visual mark system can often be tightened — colour, type, application rules — without discarding a logo that still has recognition value.
Do you run our social media, ads or SEO?+
No. We build the brand system — positioning, voice, mark and governance — and the content direction and touchpoint map that show how it should apply. Running day-to-day social calendars, paid ad accounts or SEO campaigns sits with your team or a specialist agency; we're glad to brief whoever executes that work against the specimen board.
Do you work with companies outside Vancouver?+
Yes. The atelier is based on East Cordova Street in Vancouver and most sessions run by video call regardless of location, though Vancouver-based clients are welcome to work from the studio in person. We work across Canada and, occasionally, with companies abroad who want a Canadian-run brand system.
Who owns the final files and documentation?+
You do. On final payment, ownership of the delivered specimen board, logo files, guides and documentation transfers to your company under the terms set out in our engagement agreement. Full detail is in our terms of service.
What happens after the engagement ends?+
You keep the full specimen board and can apply it independently. Many clients choose to add a brand governance retainer so someone outside the day-to-day team keeps checking new work against the system — new hires and new agencies are the most common source of drift.
What if we're not sure which service we need?+
That's exactly what a brand session is for. Book one, tell us what's bothering you about how the brand looks or sounds, and we'll recommend a starting stage — sometimes it's a full brand system, sometimes it's a narrower positioning study or research sprint.
